ILO recognition for eliminating child labor
CAC's labor record stands out among Dominican sugar producers for a specific, documented distinction
The International Labour Organization has recognized CAC as the first company in the southern Dominican Republic to eradicate child labor from its operations, and has commended its practices around managing labor migration in the cane sector.
Run in partnership with INFOTEP (the national vocational training institute), this program provides technical training to workers aged 18–22; its first cohort graduated 14 participants.
CAC's social arm partners with nonprofits, government agencies, and community organizations on regional development projects, and works with the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources on environmental compliance.
Offers practical, paid experience to engineering graduates across industrial, chemical, electrical, and mechanical disciplines; the first cohort included 12 participants.
