The largest industry in the south region

CAC cultivates 8,800 hectares across Barahona, Bahoruco, and Independencia provinces — 8,400 hectares in active cane production and 400 hectares dedicated to seedbeds — producing roughly 650,000 tons of sugarcane a year by the company's own figures. Independent industry data from recent seasons puts the mill's sugar output at around 50,000 metric tons annually, making it the smallest of the three private producers but still a significant regional employer and economic anchor.

The mill and its surrounding operations are based at Villa Central, Barahona, and the company operates under the public-facing brand "El Azucarero del Sur" ("The Sugar Mill of the South").
